Wednesday status update on Noah

December 31st, 2008

Noah has an air leak in a lung. They’re doing a procedure to suck the air out from around his lungs, so that his lungs can expand and heal. If that doesn’t work, they’ll have to insert a chest tube. The doctor is optimistic that regardless of how they have to treat him, the situation is not life-threatening and it’s just a matter of time before his lungs are healed.

They’re also starting him on an antibiotic today, as one of his levels came back a little elevated, indicating a possible infection of some sort.

So, we’re probably looking at a stay of 5-7 more days for Noah in the ICU. We so appreciate your continued prayers.
