A great church
December 6th, 2007I’m thankful for my church.
I’m thankful for faithful elders who teach the Bible, and for members who support their leaders.
I’m thankful for a warm fellowship among my fellow church members — a fellowship that is not characterized by the backbiting, griping, slander and gossip that is prevalent in too many churches.
I’m thankful for the selflessness and the spirit of service and ministry that prevails, and that a selfish hunger for power is nowhere to be found among our congregation.
I’m thankful for my church’s emphasis on holiness, and that it cares for its members enough to discipline them when they fall into sin.
I’m thankful for my church’s commitment to God-centered worship.
I’m thankful for church members who care for me and my family.
I thank God for planting my family at Cornerstone. We are so blessed to be here.
It really is a great place… too bad it is not the norm.

Let me clarify: The body is a great body of believers and the leadership have been blessed to lead so well. I echo your comments Tim. It truly is a blessing to be a part of such a body.
(I did not want my previous statement to be taken as I was saying the building is a great place- b/c it definitely is not
)

Amen and AMEN!! — And our Body is so very grateful that God planted your family amongst us too!
Is it the same building its always been in?
I too am thankful for our church, and for the Ellsworths as part of the church.
Thanks, Tim, for putting words to those thoughts. These are not to be taken lightly, and remind me of what we see in 2 Peter 1.
That is great Tim that you have a strong body of believers to be a part of. It is truely awesome when God puts us in Bible believing congregations. May the Lord continue to bless your church and praise be to God for the good leadership He has placed there for your church family. AMEN!
I knew a place like that once. Cherish it.
