I would have commented on this post earlier, but the seizures that intro caused left me incapacitated for a while.
Be carnal. Blog on the Transformers.
Transformers.
Wow. i think i got motion sickness from that website.
And what is with calling your wife the first lady? Can anybody do that? Can my wife be the first lady of the youth ministry? That, and Bishop too. Are we just trying to find the coolest title now?
I don’t know. Seems to me there’s more than meets the eye.
Scoffers!
How can you call yourself Christian and mock servants of God like that? I’m shocked! Shocked, I say! A Bishop and his first lady should be respected. The next thing you know, you guys will be making fun of Pat Robertson or Joel Osteen.
There’s really no choice here. Both of these are “Transformers”. The Bishop is in the business of “transforming” lives. Hallelujah!
(Sorry, guys. Just thought I’d go ahead and get this out of the way before someone did it seriously.)
Transformers are cool…
I thought it was a rather cool opening intro for a webpage. Pretty sweet if you ask me.
I found that amongst predominantly black churches, first lady is used as a term of respect for the wife of the pastor. I do not know why predominantly white churches have not utilized this venacular. It would be an interesting history lesson I would think: the roots of the usage of the term first lady for pastors’ wives. Now, if a woman is the pastor, I don’t know what they would call the husband; but of course, that is an entirely different issue.

At our church my wife is called The All-Wise Queen Mother…..wait…..that’s at home. Not sure what we call her at church.
I drove through Atlanta at about 1 am on the way home from a road trip Saturday, and passed a billboard for this church. I was really creepy, the Bishops eyes seemed as if they were watching you no matter what angle you looked at the billboard. Maybe he is like Santa and sees you when you are sleeping too.
YIKES!!
Owen - it kinda scares me that you noticed that “the Bishops eyes seemed as if they were watching you no matter what angle you looked at the billboard.” Just how long were you looking at the billboard? I hope there wasn’t a lot of traffic at 1 am, because you might have been going all over the interstate, not looking at the road like that.
I told the officer I was not drunk with wine, but filled with the Spirit…he kind of rolled his eyes at that one, but I passed the roadside sobriety test.
Does anyone else watch Cops and try the field sobriety test for yourself as they do it on TV?
Back on Subject, there is to much going on with that website. My brain locked up!
I thought after they introduced Bishop Long and 1st Lady Long, there were going to be introductions for super heroes. I’m disappointed.
I get hits almost every day from New Birth because of a blog about Eddie Long over a year ago. Its tapering off now because I gave up arguing with the people who were trusting God for their Bentley.
when i read your post, I thought, “It can’t be that bad” then I saw it, whoah! I felt dizzy and the logo def has that transformer feel, now if we could design one for youth ministry with a GI Joe looking logo and “take the battle to the enemy”!
Got carried away, my bad.
