The ‘99 tornado that hit Union also hit our house. It was a Saturday night and the next morning we all went to church. We didn’t start cleaning up until after worship. It was an important lesson for our kids that we live in a broken world and Christians are not exempt from the storms of life. But even as David notes in Psalm 29, we can see God’s glory in the storm and praise him, even when it’s destructive power effects us. We do not worship God because he grants us favors, though we are thankful for what we have. We worship God because of who he is.
Talk about a teachable moment and a great opportunity to share the gospel

I feel bad for Daniel.
That’s probably a picture you never thought you’d see.
Great photo. I wish I could see the expression on his face as he looks it over.
