Heroes
December 6th, 2006Anybody watching this show? Jeremy just provided me with the entire series thus far on DVD, and I’ve been watching them the past few nights. Consider me impressed. I have one or two more episodes left to watch, so don’t spoil anything for me.
I started watching this with my son at the beginning of the season and loved it. But, it stuck with me a little too much and I watch TV for the escape, not to weigh me down. So, my son now watches it and fills me in!!!!
:) Watching sports is stressful enough for me, I don’t need an intense drama to slop over into my day-to-day life.
It’s one of three shows that I watch regulalry. In case you care, my other TVaddictions are Boston Legal and Prison Break. My wife likes it and she hates Sci-Fi but she got sucked into the story.
I wanted to get into the show, but was skeptical that it would make it to season two. I’ve immersed myself into shows such as this before, only to have them last one season and disappear; “Space:Above and Beyond”, “Surface” and “Line of Fire” come to mind immediately.
Is there a way to catch up on the episodes on SciFi or another channel?
Yes, there is a way to catch up. Last WEdnesday they ran a marathon of Heroes on the Sci-Fi Channel that I was able to Tivo and catch up on the show. I would duspect them to do it again.
I have been watching it, and it is pretty good. I think I liked the idea of the show better than the show actually is, but it is picking up.
I agree, Len, Prison break is amazing…one of my favorite shows ever.
If it’s a current series, how can you have all the episodes thus far on DVD?

Downloaded from the internet and burned onto a DVD.
Or, another way would be to record them on DVR and burn them to a DVD.

Donate some green (I gave $10) to get some download credits, download the torrent file and open with BitComet.
Once the downloads complete, you have your shows in divx form. You can either view them on your computer or burn them to a disk to view in a divx compatible DVD player or convert the divx to a DVD.
so you can find pretty much any tv show episode you want by doing this?
Almost any recent show and alot of older shows people have captured from vhs, etc.
Thankfully, CBS and ABC put many of their best shows online for free. NBC and Fox are poopyheads for not doing the same.
But good for Heroes, it re-airs Friday nights on Sci-Fi at 8p EST.

The health of the file is about 5000% which is pretty good and gets me about 5kb
