All is right in the world because the 22 year old Johnny Cueto made his MLB debut for my Cincinnati Reds with a spectacularly dominant 10 strikeout, 1 hit, 1 run performance. The Reds have not had a young pitcher like this since, well…since…I’m just glad Cueto’s on the team!
Is anybody else troubled by the formerly family-friendly McDonald’s corporation being so openly and aggressively pro-gay and pro-lesbian?
Yeah, could be a lot of money wasted in Detroit this year if the players can’t stay healthy.
Tim, Lord willing and the creek don’t rise, I plan to be on campus Tuesday morning. Hope to get a chance to stop by and say hello.
Glad you’ll be here, but sorry that I’m going to miss you. I’ll be in Atlanta that day.
Is anyone else getting TIRED of Simon and Randy (on AI) acting like Whitney Houston is the only decent female singer (except for Mariah or Celine)? I think their memories are glorified compared to the thin reality. I bet that new, un-overly-produced-and-publicized Whitney would not be any better that what’s on AI.
Maybe they should have a “Whitney Houston” night so they can say to everyone, “You really shouldn’t have chosen that song. Only Whitney knows how to sing that one. You just paled in comparison to her.”
Okay Tony, I’ll bite. How is McDonald’s “so openly and aggressively pro-gay and pro-lesbian”?
Tony F.:
I am not troubled at all by any pro-gay, pro-lesbian activity (for want of a better word) at “formerly family-friendly” Mickey D’s.
Gays and lesbians have families, too, y’know. And all of us — gays, straights and all those gray areas in-between — eat at fast-food joints, occasionally.
All is right because baseball season has started AND because it’s FINAL FOUR weekend baby!
Who do you pick? Forget your brackets?
I think Carolina will play UCLA for the title, and I think Carolina will win.
BUT I’m rooting for Memphis.
UCLA is easily the most successful college hoops school ever. But who is #2-5?
I’d go:
#2 Kentucky
#3 N. Carolina
#4 Indiana
#5 Kansas
Anyone disagree?
Hey Abe-

I just want to clarify…for the record…
I had a typo earlier…3 posts up was a typo…it should read:
“I think Kansas will play Memphis for the title, and I think Kansas will win.”
Just wanted to clarify. Just a typo, that’s all.
Brett,
I would say your list of 2 through 5 is pretty much what I would say. As much as I would hat to I would have to say that Duke could be close to being in the top 5, however I would not put them ahead of any that you listed.
Tony,
Thanks for the link. This is very disturbing to me. My family eats at McDonalds a few times a month and I grab lunch there about once a week. I will have to rethink my choice as I will have a hard time supporting a business that openly supports that movement.
Nice flip-flop, Brett. LOL
Charlton Heston has died at the age of 84. RIP
I had breakfast at McDonald’s today.
I’m practicing my flip-flops, Bob…
…I figure they’ll come in handy when I run for Pres in ‘12.
Too bad Di-
You could have eaten at a decent restaurant or maybe heard a good exegesis of Romans 1:26-32.
I agree with, Di.
Darn interesting!!
Actually Full Train in 1991
“I have nothing but the highest respect and admiration for the Tokyo train system - but even this fine system running like clockwork has its … all » limits. This video was taken in 1991 and things have improved somewhat due to increased trains and (more importantly) flex-time being allowed at many companies, but even now, when something throws the trains a little off scedule (someone taking the express checkout from life by jumping in front of a train, etc.), then things can be as shown in the video. 30,000,000 is a lot of work to move about!”
Hey Brett-
I saw Harvest is heading a missions team to J-Ville in June. Are you a part of that? Tell me more about it if you can…
