The season hasn’t started yet and the Manny Rameriez drama is in mid-season form….I love it.

  2. erin says:

The days are getting longer! I love it being light when it’s 7:00 a.m. Makes getting up much easier than when it’s still dark.

Did I just talk about weather on a blog comment? Sad sad sad. :)

  3. Whoohoo … only seven more days ‘tll the next open blog Friday.

  4. Newman says:

Let go to candy mountain! The leopluradon will show us the way!

Has anyone followed the recent events with Jim Zumbo?

Its open blog Friday, and all I got was this lousy t-shirt.

I have Newman. I think it’s all around sad, both his comments plus the vitriol coming from his former supporters. He immediately apologized, didn’t offer excuses or admit himself to rehab, didn’t try to rationalize his behavior, none of that - he admitted his wrong. I’m not saying I disagree with the repercussions - job and sponsor loss - but the branding of him as a traitor to be banished forever doesn’t scan for me.

  8. Newman says:

misawa, if it had all been verbal it wouldn’t have been such a big deal, but when you post something for all the world to see on the internet, its there forever. To make things worse he labeled the gun as a terrorist gun. Its a bad bad deal. His apology and explanation seemed sincere. I think I understand that he was on a rant and was exaggerating his point. On the other side of things, our freedom to own firearms is extremely fragile and its an extremely sensitive topic, so its really no surprise his sponsors dropped him.

  9. Ok. Am I the only one who is willing to admit they had to Google to find out who Jim Zumbo was?

    :)

  10. misawa says:

Maybe I have a little more compassion than some of my fellow gunners, I dunno. I just think more has been made of the situation than is necessary. He made a big dumb mistake based more on his dislike for ARs and AKs and has (as he should) felt the repurcussions from that. However, instead of digging heel and trying to defend it, he owned up to it, admitted his wrong, and asked for forgiveness - the latter takes far more character IMHO, and is one of the reasons I wish people would leave him be.

  11. Newman says:

I just received my Ar15 this week and looks good in my safe! If anyone cares I had a place in Arkansas build me a RRA lower with a 4 position collapsible stock with a LMT flat top upper and an ARMS rear flip sight. I do not like the 4 position I wish I’m going to put a 6 on it and I don’t like the stock grip. Thinking about a LaRouge or a Tango down. She’s a real Bute with her 16″ chrome lined barrel.

  12. Newman says:

I see your point misawa I’m currently working on forgiving him, its just not easy. He cut me deep! Your right though. He did fess up it was wrong. So it goes. I wonder how long this will last before everyone forgets?

  13. erin says:

Cameron, you’re not the only one. I Googled him, too. :)

    Tim,
Thanks for staying away from the ANSmith and BSprs trash. It’s good to have a source of real news.

From the AP: Rats run rampant in a NY KFC restaurant. I don’t eat at KFC often, and this certainly doesn’t make me want to anytime soon.
