It’s Open Blog Friday

June 29th, 2007

“The beautiful part of writing is that you don’t have to get it right the first time, unlike, say, a brain surgeon.” — Robert Cromier

Talk about whatever you want to here, and have a good weekend.

    Yay! Number one!
It’s good to be back. Working third shift (as I am while writing this) is tough, but I’m trying to keep up as much as I can.

Personally, I will not choose a candidate until the primaries begin. That way, I don’t wear myself out.
Obama is one of my US senators (Dick Durbin is the other; I’m from Illinois) and he would be a poor choice. That’s all I have to say about that.

Please pray for the lonely and frightened people in our world. Little children, the elderly, and such. If you know any, reach out to them in support and love. Have a great weekend.

Is it OK to vote for a Satanist if he lives a ‘presidential’ life? Let the elitist debate begin…

  3. Tim says:

Bob, it’s good to hear from you. I’d been wondering if you were still hanging around. Hope all is well with you.

  4. misawa says:

    Tim, how’s your father doing?

  5. Marty says:

Tim, after the discussion about John Adams I hope that you thoroughly examined this Robert Cromier guy and made sure that you agree with every word he has ever spoken and everything he has ever done. Obviously, you are implying that you do agree with those things by citing a quote from him.

  6. j razz says:

    Marty,

Do you mean like how Jude agrees with the pseudopigrapha and every word written in it and everything ever done during its time of being written because he quotes from it? If that is what you mean I am with you ;)

misawa: He’s doing fine. Good as new. Thanks for asking.

Marty: Oh, shoot! I knew I was forgetting to do some research. I don’t even know who this guy is. I just liked the quote. Crud, what if he’s a Cubs fan? Does that mean I’m a Cubs fan too, since I quoted him?

  8. Tourian says:

Why the hatred against the Cubs? Do you base this hatred on their performance on the field or is it something deeper?

  9. Newman says:

    I think its the goat!

  10. Craig says:

John Adams was a Cub fan. He was at their last World Series win.

  11. misawa says:

    Daaaannnngg!!!! Nice one Craig!

  12. Craig says:

I can say that. I’m a Cub fan.

  13. Marty says:

Here’s a test for all you baseball fans. Biggio just became the 27th member of the 3000 club and Thomas became the 21st member of the 500 club. See how many of those club members you can list and then check your answers. No cheating!

I got 20 of 21 right in the home run club (I was going to mention the one I forgot but I can’t give any answers away) and I got 20 out of 27 right in the 3000 club.

  15. The Zoner says:

Good fun Marty. I shamefully missed 2 of the HR club. I’ll blame my sleepiness on that. I also missed a handful of 3000 hitters. I have been humbled.

  16. Anyone wanna buy me an iPhone?

If I may give a shamless plug for my blog.

I would like to invite all of Tims readers to visit my blog. I have just added a new feature to it entitled the weekly debate. I do not have the ability to monitor it more than once or twice a day. But all are welcome to comment on it.

Anybody got any Indelible Grace CDs? I’ve heard good things, but I’ve never listened to any of the CDs.
