Tim, did you watch the (yawn) women’s long program last night? I fell asleep during the middle of it. The men’s freestyle ski jumping was cool. I just wish the American would have landed the ‘Hurricane.’
I watched Sasha Cohen skate, and that was about it. I knew the results, so there wasn’t any kind of suspense for me. If Cohen could have fallen down one or two more times, she might have won the gold.
Is Bobby Ricky his whole name? That’s just two first names. Of course, if he’s a Nascar red-neck that would explain it. Jim Bob, Bobby Ray, Ray Dean, etc.
Funny that the Open Blog Friday post didn’t show up on my screen…….I had to make a comment on the free book post and then saw the arrows for Open Blog Friday.
Must be something about this old gateway2000 computer at work…………….lol
I learned one thing last night after the ladies free skate. Make a post about Sasha Cohen and watch traffic spike. Who knew pixies in skates could inspire such passion?
Over the road truckers drive 50 hours a week in unpredictable conditions. Man what athletes! I’m so glad I live near the I-57 so I can watch such a beatiful sport. My wife and I are considering buying some property near a truck stop and getting some truck stop passes so we can watch them do maintence on their equipment and refuel.
Yesterday I seen a JBhunt truck #14590 with Trailer #228910H Pass a 91 lumina. HOLY CRAP! That was exciting! Last week yellow #334289b and Fedex #590b901L nearly colided while taking an unbanked turn near mile marker 62. DANG! Exciting
Did anyone catch The Daily Show a couple of weeks ago when the esteemed governer from Illinois was interviewed? Drudge pointed to a story about it. Man, I wish I could have seen it.
“It was going to be an interview on contraceptives … that’s all I knew about it,” Blagojevich laughingly told the St. Louis Post- Dispatch in a story for Thursday’s editions. “I had no idea I was going to be asked if I was ‘the gay governor.’”
I am getting ready to put the family to bed and then snuggle up with my tea, Earl Grey, hot, and watch the 2 hours of 24 that was on tonight. I had no idea that it was on tonight! What a pleasant surprise! 24 stars Jack Bauer, he kills terrorists.
Even though you delete a file, it will still be there. Its very easy to recover deleted files. Windows simply forgets the location of the file on the hard drive then eventually over time will over write it again. so when giving or selling your system its important to wipe it.
Uhh… Am I missing something?
Hey, I have a question for all of you. I’m just curious to see your responses. Because I waited way too long to get Spring Training Tickets, I’m having to resort to Ebay because the game I want to go to is sold out.
But, here’s my question. How much would you pay for two Spring Training tickets that are 15 rows right above first base for the Braves @ the Yankees? My brother and law and I are driving down to Florida to see a game on the 11th, but the 11th is a split-squad day. Half is staying at Disney World to play the Mets, but the other half is traveling to Tampa to play the Yankees.
We decided to shoot for the Yankees game because we’d like to see our Braves beat the Evil Empire.
Right now my bid is $61 for the two tickets with around 24 hours left. I’m hoping that my opposing bidder won’t go higher (I bumped their bid up from $36), but just in case they do, I’ve got to figure out how much I’m willing to spend on Spring Training tickets. I probably wouldn’t spend as much to see the Braves and Mets, purley because I would have a good chance at seeing them sometime during the season. But, this is the Yankees - different story.
I hate to tell you, but if you’re going to the Yankees game, you’ll see very few of the real Braves and will see mostly minor leaguers. When there’s a split squad game with one of them being at home, practically all of the big names will stay at home.
Well, I know that, and that’s what made the decision so difficult. Besides, the dumb WBC is screwing everything up anyway. But, here’s my outlook on it. Even if it is all minor leaugers, we’ll be seeing the future NL East Champions. And, it is still technically the Atlanta Braves vs. the New York Yankees. I’m jumping at the chance to see these two teams play, no matter who’s playing in the game. Even though it’s just an exibition game, there are bragging rights at stake here. Not often do they play each other, but the Braves absolutley hate the Yankees and the Yankees hate the Braves. It’ll be fun.
And, if I don’t win this auction, I’ll probably shoot for tickets against the Mets.
Scott, nearly everyone hates the Yankees. Even some Yankee fans hate the Yankees. I hate to tell you this, but a good percentage of the country also hates the Braves. Anyway, my solution is thus; just pretend that the Braves handily made it through the playoffs and are playing the Yanks in the Series. Go watch the game like Tim said and see the Braves choke to lose the hypothetical World Series. That is how it seems to go with the Braves. Oh, and here is the smiley.
I have good news. I am going outside now to rake gum balls. I cleaned the gutters earlier today. Loads of fun! Kinda like watching NASCAR!!! Oh, here is the smiley :), so people know not to get offended or accuse me of ‘judging’ the exhibition known as NASCAR.
After seeing more and more pages of my beloved “Sporting News” being devoted to NASCAR, and after seeing more and more photos and quotes from NASCAR drivers and their crews on the sports web sites, I have a philosophical question for you all…..
“Since no right thinking sports fan gives auto racing any legitimacy, if a NASCAR driver speaks and no one cares about what he says, does he actually make a sound?”
Welp, no Yankees/Braves tickets. It got too rich for my blood. I finally stopped my bidding at $105. I figured it was getting insane, that’s the price of regular season tickets (I probably should have realized it before then). So, I looked into Braves/Mets (at Disney World) tickets and I just bought 2 tickets centered over the Braves dugout three rows up for $41. Funny how things work out.
So, I’ll be able to see the better players up closer- and cheaper. Hopefully I can get an autograph or two during batting practice. We’ll see.
But hey, it should be a good game, the NL East rivals battling each other out. (Plus I don’t have to sit around a bunch of annoying Yankee fans).
Obviously not to you either, Cameron. So, let me get this right, you can only post to Open Blog Friday on Fridays? You can’t post on the following Saturday, Sunday, or Monday, etc? You should have gone to each of us privately instead of publically humiliating us. No smiley.
I need to learn how to start a blog so I can have the open blog forever blog. It would be the best because I wouldn’t censer anyone or poke fun of gramer or spelling. Then the world would be a better place for all to live!
Good work Jermy. Thanks! Do you think we can keep the open blog friday going until the next open blog friday? That would be awsome, like playing frogger without dieing for 8 hours non stop!
Does anyone speak Spanish? If so, can you translate some of this video clip for me? If you don’t watch this video clip, you will have 7 years of bad luck.
Jeremy, my Spanish is a little rusty, but I think they were saying something about Chuck Norris getting his butt kicked, and that he jumps rope like a girl.
Like I said, my Spanish is a little rusty. I certainly wasn’t trying to demean the Chuckster, I was just trying to relay my interpretation of what they were saying. The audio was not that great however and I could have been mistaken.
Duh, Tim removed the post on Falwell so I will post on Open Blog Friday. I hope you read this.
Tim did not report the allegations toward Dr. Falwell as fact. He simply (as did several other reputable Christian sites) reported that the article had appeared in the Jerusalem Times. When I apprised him of the response from Dr. Falwell’s office, he immediately posted that as well.
I think Tim showed Christian, journalistic integrity in this and does not deserve the comments you are making toward him.
Let your speech be seasoned with grace. (That is my thought for the week and I am trying hard to live by it).
Tim, did you watch the (yawn) women’s long program last night? I fell asleep during the middle of it. The men’s freestyle ski jumping was cool. I just wish the American would have landed the ‘Hurricane.’

Is anybody going to watch the race Sunday?
NO!
Oh, come on Jeremy, you know you want to!
I am!! and I think Bobby Ricky is gonna watch it too….
Who is Bobby Ricky and why are we talking about him instead of Tariq Wadood, the best badminton player ever?
Jeremy if you have to ask who Bobby Ricky is, then you probably don’t need to know.
Didn’t Bobby Ricky invent a new and improved noodle strainer back in the early 70’s?
Is Bobby Ricky his whole name? That’s just two first names. Of course, if he’s a Nascar red-neck that would explain it. Jim Bob, Bobby Ray, Ray Dean, etc.
I’m beginning to think that a lot of y’all are closet NASCAR fans you just don’t want to admit it.
Funny that the Open Blog Friday post didn’t show up on my screen…….I had to make a comment on the free book post and then saw the arrows for Open Blog Friday.

I would rather watch NASCAR.
If anyone ever gives away a computer or hardrive I suggest using this program before you hand it over.

Ahh… Lord forgive him, for he does not know what he does.
Jeremy, smiley face notwithstanding, I am deeply offended.
Sometimes we just have to ignore the nonbelievers Gordon, they will realize their mistake sooner or later.

“I wouldn’t censer anyone or poke fun of gramer or spelling.” Certain Southern Illinois politicians would be at home on your blog.
Go for it, Tylr.

Anyone watch LOST tonight? IMHO, it was the best of the season. Lots of answers, lost of questions. Who is HE? Is Henry HE, or an other, or what?
