Notpron

August 27th, 2006

Tyler/Newman posted a link to this game a couple of days ago on Open Blog Friday. I thought I’d draw a little extra attention to it. If you need some time to kill, give Notpron a chance. It’s described as “the hardest riddle available on the internet.”

It’s addictive, so don’t start if you don’t want to waste a bunch of time. You’ve been warned. Post here if you have any hints to offer, or if you’re desperate for help. Maybe some kind soul will have mercy on you and give you a hand.

When he says addictive, he means ADDICTIVE!!! I have gotten to level eight and am kind of stuck but I have spent way too much time on it already!

  2. Glenna says:

I’m an idiot. I’m stuck on level three, and I’m really not even sure how I got there! I’m going to have to get some hints. I’m not as computer saavy as I thought.

Glenna — what does the message say that pops up for a split second when you move your mouse across the page? Look at the URL.

  4. Jeremy says:

    That’s true Tim, thanks.

  5. Glenna says:

Yeah…as soon as I went back, it dawned on me…now I’m working my way through level 6. I have to say, I cannot listen to the music–it creeps me out. Thanks, Tim, for suggesting this and helping me to procrastinate and put off everything I have to do today. :)

  6. lj says:

Yeah, thanks a lot Tim for this curse. I was already a barely productive individual.

  7. Why didn’t you give the same warning for fantasy football?? :)

  8. misawa says:

This is just sick. Thanks, Tim! :D

  9. Heidi says:

I am stuck on level eight still…any help without giving it away?

  10. lj says:

    1. Pay attention to the address.

    2. Find the word in another language.

Hope that helps some. Don’t want to give it away.

  11. Glenna says:

I’m at level eight, but I’m going to have to give up while I’m still young. I do not have time for this addiction….and yet, it’s sooooo tempting.

  12. Heidi says:

    Glenna,
I am thinking about trying to quit…soon there will be support groups all over the country…for now I NEED to get past level eight!!!

  13. lj says:

Sorry. I think I gave you hints for level 7. My bad.

Okay, I have worked on this on and off since since it was first posted; I gave up around level 3 the first time. I am now on level 11 with the help of my co-worker Randy. We have been working on this for the last couple of weeks. We were on level 6 or 7 for over a week before we finally figured it out. We were on level 9 for a while too and 10 took no time, but 11? We are stuck but we will figure it out- it may take us a while- several weeks maybe, but I am just not getting this one- but I will not give up and cheat!

How far have you all gotten? Anybody made it past 11? Is there “light” at the end of the tunnel?

  15. j razz says:

Okay, made it to 12. Anybody else still working on this or am I the only one?

  16. Newman says:

haha I quit at 8. The piles of paper on desk kept getting bigger and bigger!

  17. j razz says:

It has been a long journey. So tempting to cheat, but much more rewarding if you just drudge through it. Quiet fun though.
