Pizza pizza?

No.
It’s just like if you replaced a taco shell with bread, and used peanut butter and jelly instead of meat and cheese. It ceases to be a taco and it becomes a PB&J sandwich.
The question isnt would it still be a pizza but why would you want to remove the tomato and cheese and replace with PB and bacon in the first place.
Don’t know, but peanut butter and bacon go good together as a sandwich.
Doesn’t pizza actually refer to the shape? I found 2 translations from Italian (not a complete search by any means) and one was “a bore” and Idon’t think that applies. The other was “reel” as in a circular object like a film reel. That seems to work. Since other Italian foods are named based on the shape of the pasta (canneloni, ziti, manicotti, spaghetti, etc) and not the particular stuffing or topping, why not have a PB and bacon pizza?
It’s bizarre, but there are people who make green pepper and carrot sandwiches. Is that really a sandwich?
I actually bake something called a fruit pizza using sugar cookie dough as the “pizza” dough, cream cheese frosting as the “sauce” and slices of strawberries, pineapples and kiwi as the “toppings.” It is quite delicious. I’m not exactly sure why it’s called pizza but it’s not just for its shape because when I was in Italy most of their pizzas were in the shape of rectangles and usually did not include tomato sauce (try real tomatoes, very little cheese and basil.)

Sounds like a cookie, to me…
well it’s in the shape of a very large cookie so it’s the size of a pizza and it kind of looks like a pizza so it’s called a pizza. but i do think other people call it a fruit tart or something like that…

We need to have a 5-year moratorium on proclamations about the “pizza-ness” of such a construction until we have been able to dialogue with each other, preferably in a loving manner, about the worthiness of PB & bacon as an acceptable topping. After all, God created them good and therefore it is wrong to judge them as a topping, right? Any other tone you could take is simply unloving.
Absolutely not.
I don’t like your tone, therefore you are unloving and I can’t hear you. Seek forgiveness and then we can have meaningful dialogue about these toppings.
(Sorry guys, I really, really couldn’t resist.)
Just go down to CiCi’s Pizza and you’ll learn that pizza can carry many ingredients - including my kids’ fav, chocolate pizza.
Yes, it’s a pizza.
