Slow site?
January 22nd, 2008Has anyone noticed my site being slow for several days? Just curious if the problem was on my end, or if others were experiencing something similar.

It’s still intermittently slow for me. It seems to be more of an issue when I use my RSS reader (Sage plugin for Firefox) and I go straight to a particular post.
It has seemed pretty slow for the past week or two.
Yes Tim. I have noticed that it takes longer to open up and seems longer to get to the reply section.

Maybe time to change hosts?
Maybe. GoDaddy has said there are no problems on their end, but I think they’re mistaken. I may send them a link to this post as proof.
It has been just a tad slow to load for me, but the bigger problem on my end is that my RSS reader isn’t working for your site, although it works for all the others.
I wouldn’t say that it’s slow.
But the last post of yours that I was able to load describes this young lady you’d recently met named Sarah Lyon.
Is that an older post?

No RSS issues here. I’m using Google Reader.
No feed issues here either with Google Reader.
I notice as well that it takes a long while to post a comment here now.

That last comment took 1 minute and 3 seconds to post and gave me a time out error even though it was posted (as evidenced above).

Some times it comes right up, other times its slower than molasses on a cold winters day.
The RSS problem seems to have resolved itself, but the site is slower than Darrell Porter trying to run out a ground ball.
Yes your site is slow! 56k modem slow!
It seems to be running better for me today. Maybe GoDaddy fixed the problem.
It is still slow on my end.

It took 2 minutes and 12 seconds to post that last message and it still gave me an error. It took 14 seconds to load your front page.

Roughly 30 seconds my my post - but the page never fully filled in; everything under recent comments is blank.
