24: Hour 22
May 15th, 2006Only one week left in the season, with a two-hour finale next Monday. Somehow, I have a feeling that Jack’s going to find a way to stop the missile launch and kick the snot out of President Logan (that is, if Mrs. Logan doesn’t do it first).
As much as I love the show, the whole deal with the recording was pretty lame. All this time Jack has the recording, and he can’t find two minutes to transfer the recording to another place? I blame the writers, because Jack Bauer would never make such an error himself.
Ayup. No excuse for him not to make another recording somewhere along the way with something from his super-spy man purse.
I found the script went a little south with Henderson and Jack and the Hi-tech mexican dude in the last 15 minutes of the show.
Wouldn’t you see facial hair growth after 22 hours?
What is with Jack’s humoungous purse he takes with him whereever he goes?
I think Jack is a cross between Macgyver and Dirty Harry.
(It’s called a ‘messenger bag.’)
And Tim - you’re mistaken. It was not Jack’s fault, it was CTU’s fault. It was within a secure building, so Jack had no reason to hold on to it any longer. However, CTU let the moron whatever-his-name-is be involved in the inside intelligence ring.
Also, even if he had made a copy of the original recording, it would have been very hard to use the backup recording as good evidence. When they examine recordings such as this, they look for possible alterations. Making a copy would have put flaws in it, therefore very likley invalidating the evidence.
I thought the highlight of the show was the scene between Mad Martha and AAron. Very tender. Hope he lives and they get together in the end.
Oh yeah, Martha’s a stone-cold vengeance killer! Rock on!
Why is the Navy inspecting a Russian nuclear sub at 4 a.m. the same day as a treaty was signed allowing such actions? Getting a head start, are we? And the captain was on board and running things?
