24: Hours 23-24

May 22nd, 2006

I was a little disappointed in the finale tonight. It wasn’t as suspenseful as I was expecting, and was even slow at times. I wasn’t surprised that the whole China thing came back up — however, I wasn’t expecting them to leave it as such a cliffhanger.

    Wow. Dude needs to chill.

I don’t quite know how to follow the previous comment, but did anyone besides myself and my friend Rich have serious audio and video glitches in the broadcast last night? I probably missed 25-30% of the audio and some of the video, too. It was an OK ep, but not a typical finale. My finale is Wed night ! 4 8 15 16 23 42

  3. Tim says:

Jason — Indeed. He’ll not be joining us again.

  4. Jeff says:

Did anyone else notice that Logan and Martha’s tryst lasted approximately 30 seconds?

I want - no, demand - a spinoff with Aaron, Chloe and Curtis working together.

  5. “My finale is Wed night ! 4 8 15 16 23 42″ Jeremy said what I was thinking.

Just how many times can the writers of 24 have Bauer breaking a guy’s neck with his legs? Also I just had lunch with someone in the real defense intell business and he assures me that there are no cool PDAs like the one that Bauer uses. His PDA can do anything except kill someone which Jack prefers to do himself. It would be cool however if for once Jack said, “Chloe, I need you to upload a can to my PDA so I can open it up on [insert bad guy of the week]”.

  6. Scott Gladin says:

Oh, Jack Bauer could invent such a PDA.

  7. AgentRez says:

I was caught off-guard by the Chinese thing, and frankly, I’m surprised that I was caught off-guard, because I am usually pretty good at predicting the show and I should have thought of that…I knew that when he got the call from Kim it was some kind of a trap but I wasn’t expecting it to be the Chinese.

  8. Tim says:

So now, next season, we get to see Jack Bauer kick the snot out of a billion Chinese. How cool will that be?

AgentRez, like you, I was a little surprised by the Chinese thing. My wife called it, but I just wasn’t expecting such a cliffhanger. It’s the first time we’ve seen that with a season of 24.

  9. Jeff says:

Jack Bauer could turn a PDA into a taser, and it would rule.

If everyone on “24″ followed Jack Bauer’s instructions, it would be called “12″.

Based on what Logan said about helping Jack “find” his daughter, seems to me Jack is going to be used for secret information and to take part in a bit of treason by the ChiComs in order to protect Kim.

  10. Scott Gladin says:

    Stupid Commies.

  11. Tom says:

Jeff stole my thunder. The “real time” aspect of this show stretches all dimensions of credibility. I’ve heard of quickies but this was ridiculous. And where’s Miles? No Karen cold-cocking the guy who ruined the tape and betrayed his country? I too, was disappointed.

I hope Jeam Smart wins an Emmy for her work, she was brilliant.

    3.7 months and counting…
