29-year-old virgin looks for Mr. Right
August 24th, 2006An impending birthday has caused many a rational person to do something a little out of the ordinary. Some people buy a sports car. Others get themselves a significantly younger significant other. Sarah DiMuro decided she needs to get it on — for the first time ever.
DiMuro, a self-proclaimed 29-year-old virgin, says she wants to lose her virginity before her 30th birthday on Nov. 7, and she’s enlisted Jane magazine to aid her in her quest to get busy, the New York Daily News reports.
DiMuro is calling the whole process “my adventure.” I’d call it shameful and degrading.
Shameful, degrading, desperate…….yes. To us.
To her, it is a decision she has made. It is a wrong decision, in my estimation. Just another example of unbelievers acting like unbelievers. It does come down to your world view.
Doesn’t seem like this would be that difficult a thing to accomplish. Can’t she just get on down to the corner bar near her house and make it happen post haste? I don’t reallly understand the need to enlist the ‘help’ of anyone.
She’s probably going to be reimbursed somehow for the publicity and the article. SEX SELLS.
“An intellectual is a person who’s found one thing that’s more interesting than sex.”
~Aldous Huxley
What’s sad is how our society has divorced sex from relationship. It has been turned into just another bodily function like going to the restroom, eating or brushing your teeth. The result is that the other person ceases to be a human being and becomes instead an object to be used, evaluated, and if found wanting, discarded.
Ditto, Joel.
Ditto your Ditto Ray.
Yes Joel. I was also speaking to a colleague here about how young women dress. I said that I can’t see how boys are supposed to get any idea other than that girls are there to look at or worse, just for physical stuff.
That’s sad.
Ditto your ditto of Ray’s ditto, Newman.
I’m sure Mom and Dad DiMuro are quite proud, no?
To think that she’s accomplished (as opposed to being BURDONED) what so few do and is going to deliberately throw it away.
Unfortunately, this probably speaks to her world-view and ultimately, she likely needs Christ.
The other two stories on the Fox site (follow the link above) are pretty wild also.
The “bomb” thing and the controlled burn.
Jeepers.
What I don’t understand is, after you’ve made it that long - why screw it up?
