And the wussification of America continues. Much like the banning of Dodgeball.

Student s were being “chased against their will.” How are you chased against your will? Here’s an idea…don’t move.

Whhiiiiiiiiinnnnne! Next they’ll ban talking so that nobody makes fun of the fat/nerdy/poor/bucktoothed/conservatively-dressed/ new/ socially-inept/ (pick one or more) kid. Maybe they should, because isn’t that what’s being blamed for Columbine and VA Tech? Oh, I forgot, it’s the gun’s fault.

Maybe they should ban public school!

Who banned dodgeball? It stands to become an annual event here in Jackson, TN.

Banning public school, now there’s an idea I could support.

  5. That’s nothing. I know of a public school that doesn’t have recess at all, and the kids aren’t allowed to interact with each other at lunch.

  6. I heard Fox & Friends rip on that this morning.

    Oh well, we homeschool.

    From the article Tim cited:

“Running games are still allowed as long as students don’t chase each other,” she said.

At my grade school, one of the most popular games on the playground was “Girls Chase the Boys.” Ironically, another almost equally popular game was “Smear the Queer,” which I believe involved some kind of ball. (???)

Personally, I never cared for Tag but always loved Dodgeball. Which we referred to as Bombardment, using those smaller, harder red rubber balls, with which we, indeed, probably coulda put an eye out or something.
