Update: School district fires vegan teacher
September 26th, 2007The loony vegan school teacher I posted about previously has been fired by the school district where he taught.
The school board vote was, of course, unanimous.

My sister-in-law used to be a vegan. When they visited last year at Christmas she told us how much better she felt eating modest amounts of meat. I really appreciated her honesty and candor about the whole thing as she was very dedicated to the vegan thing before.
What do vegans and vegetarians think those pointy teeth in their mouths are there for, anyway?
I’m not saying I agree or disagree with the theological basis for this approach, but Hallelujah Acres (http://www.hacres.com/diet/diet.asp) takes a unique and spiritual approach to diet and health, with particular focus on adopting a vegetarian lifestyle.
At the very least, it’s ‘food’ for thought.
As to the nutty, vegan teacher, the school did the right thing.
