Blagojevich’s commute costing Illinois taxpayers

June 21st, 2007

From AP:

Gov. Rod Blagojevich’s practice of flying from his Chicago home to the Capitol in Springfield and back for daily budget negotiations is costing Illinois taxpayers more than $5,800 a day - roughly $76,000 since late May and climbing.

An Associated Press analysis of state flight records shows Blagojevich made nine round trips on state airplanes from May 22 to June 7, and he appears to have made at least four more since then.

Several of those flights came while the governor’s aides were admonishing lawmakers for not spending enough time in the Capitol working on the budget.

Chicago should be annexed into California somehow. Bunch of Liberal Fascists live up there! If it weren’t for the deep dish pizza I would have nothing good to say about it.

Sorry, Deep Dish Pizza and “THE ZONER”!

    And Da Bears…and sausage…Ditka….

Blago has long been criticized for not living downstate in the Gov’s mansion year round.

But under his watch we got open road tolling so I really don’t care if he blows out the ozone.

I was in your windy city for 2-1/2 hours yesterday. But only at the airport enroute to Pittsburgh. I looked for your Govenor and did not see him. Mabey the $11.75 I paid for 1/2 lb. of nuts and the diet dew helps pay for his flights ;-) .

I’m so glad he got you open road tolling Zoner! toll roads and IPASS SUX! Enjoy that troll road because he has robbed the Illinois LUST fund from which my clients pay me. My clients now wait over 14 months to be reimbursed for our remedial activities. My job is constantly in limbo because no on knows how much he’ll divert from the fund. This will probably offend everyone but I hate Blagojavich! He can only be described using every vulgar word you have or have not ever heard.

Who’s to blame? The Republican Party for putting up an idiot like Judy Barr Topinka.
