Huckabee takes lead in national poll
December 5th, 2007Mike Huckabee has moved ahead of Rudy Giuliani in the Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll.
According to the poll, Huckabee has the support of 20 percent of likely voters, compared to 17 percent for Giuliani.
Just as significant as the new leader is the amazingly competitive nature of the race. Five candidates are within ten points of the lead and all five could conceivably become the party’s eventual nominee. In addition to Huckabee and Giuliani, John McCain and Mitt Romney are at 13%, and Fred Thompson is at 10%.

I would love to see Huckabee give them a good run, but something tells me he’s just not ready for Prime Time. I could be wrong, though. I would never have guessed Ronald Reagan would win - twice.
I was very pleased with Huckabee in the recent you tube/cnn debates. I’m still backing Ron Paul because he is what I truly believe this country needs. But if Huckabee wins the nom I will definitely vote for him.
I thought Romney was the prototypical politician in that debate and McCain was obviously trying to pound on the points his campaign told him to go for.
It was funnt when Ron Paul totally burned him on the difference between isolationism vs. non-intervention.
And in case you guys didn’t know, Mc Cain had Thanksgiving with the troops. Cuz he mentioned it like 9 times. He also mentioned how badly they want the chance to win there. And I’m not sure what that has to do with anything in regard to our continued occupation or leaving.

Go Huckabee!
Huckabee, all the way to the white house. Wouldn’t that be great?
