Bonds might not donate prized items to HOF
May 29th, 2007
Barry Bonds has said he might not donate souvenirs from his record 756th home run to the Hall of Fame.
“I’m not worried about the Hall,” the San Francisco slugger said during a recent homer drought. “I take care of me.”
Imagine that — Barry Bonds being a selfish jerk. Next you’re gonna tell me that Bonds does steroids or something equally shocking.
Yeah, no part of this is really that shocking to me. It doesn’t even get a head shake. If he did actually give that ball to the HOF, I would have expected to find it in the Truly Disgraced wing.
Barry’s gear doesn’t belong in the Hall, and neither does he.
In this case, I’m glad he’s being a jerk. When I make my pilgrimage to the Hall of Fame one day, I don’t want to see his stuff or a plaque with his face on it in those hallowed halls.
in this case, Barry, please continue to be selfish….keep your contaminated items out of the hall….
Does Barry actually own any of that stuff, I heard a good point on foxsports this morning - Technically the home team owns the baseballs and the Giants own the jerseys and bats — not that i am crushed by a barry-less hall of fame -
No, Barry doesn’t own it. But maybe he can hire Doug Mientkiewicz to be his lawyer.
