Heading to spring training this week
February 26th, 2007I’ll be leaving for my annual spring training trip on Wednesday. Some of the players I’m targeting for stories this year are Cleveland’s Jake Westbrook and Trot Nixon, Pittsburgh’s Adam LaRoche, Houston’s Luke Scott, St. Louis’ Adam Wainwright and Kip Wells, Detroit’s Nate Robertson, and Florida’s Josh Willingham.
I expect to blog regularly while I’m in Florida.
Have a good time! I look forward to your reports from Spring Training. I’ll be headed to Titusville on Friday. I plan to take in a few games while I’m in Florida.
No Cincinnati Reds interviews?
Doesn’t look that way, Travis — mainly for scheduling reasons. It’s just not going to work out for me to make it to see the Reds this year. But I am hoping to do a story on Jerry Narron at some point.
You have a dream job Tim. Jerry Narron seems like a nice guy times I have met him. If you are ever in Cincy during baseball season, look me up. My wife and I would love to take you to a game at GABP. Go Reds!
Well, if you get to talk to Adam LaRoche, tell him we Braves fans are going to miss him.
Tim the offer still stands from last year. If you are anywhere near the Tampa area (including Lakeland which is less than 30 min from my house) give me a buzz and lunch is on me.
Hey, thanks Paul. How far are you from Winter Haven?
Well, as long as we are offering to pay for stuff for you, I’ll join in. If you are for some reason doing a story involving the Savannah Sand Gnats, or anything close to Savannah, Georgia, tell me and you’ve got yourself a free dinner.
Tim,
Depending on what time of day probaby 45-50 minutes. It is a pretty easy drive. Let me know if you can make it work (I know that this is a buisness trip for you, so don’t fell bad if you have to let me down easy.)
Paul
Have a great trip, Tim!
: )
My friends Diane and Cindy are going down to Jupiter over their spring break at RLC. First-time spring training for both lifelong Cardinals fans! I know they’ll have a blast.
Just stay away from the drunken cursing lady in Applebees!
Aw, man. That was wild. Here’s the account, for those who’d like to know what we’re talking about:
