How about those Rockies?

October 16th, 2007

I’ll admit, I never thought the Colorado Rockies would be able to keep it up. But man, they are hot. Can they continue their torrid play in the World Series? They’re going to have a layoff of more than a week, so it’ll be interesting to see if they can keep up their intensity. A long break didn’t help the much Tigers last year.

If I were the Rockies, I would spend the next week doing PFP (Pitcher Fielding Practice). I think Jim Leyland would recommend the same.

If one more expansion team wins the Series before the ‘Stros do, I’ll, I’ll, I’ll become a Devil Rays fan…

Texas Rangers and Seattle Mariners fans probably feel the same way.

Hey, what about the Cubs here? It’ll be just another slap in the face. Go Rockies! Thank you sir, may I have another!

Whoa, back away from the ledge there, buddy.

I think the World Series will go 6-7 games, at which point it’s really a roll of the dice. The Rockies absolutely can win.

I had a chance to watch most of these players every day for two years wehen I worked for STATS, Inc. and I knew then theey were going to be good. I just didn’t think it would happen this fast.
