It’s Photo Friday

August 25th, 2006

I took this picture when I was a junior in high school, and it’s still one of my favorites.

That’s the weirdest hug I’ve ever seen. :)

  2. When did Steve Alford play for Benton? And why is he performing a flying body slam on that poor referee?

  3. Jason says:

Actually, that looks like a Bearcats uni, I think. That ain’t no Benton Ranger! :)

And I was just noticing the throw-backs in that pic - the patches on the guy’s striped shirt, the BIG BLEACHED HAIR, stone-washed and tight jeans…

    …that’s the STUFF, man!

  4. Bearcats, Benton……what’s the difference. That’s Steve Alford, man!

  5. Scott Gladin says:

Jason, those were the good ole’ days…

    Well, so I’ve heard anyway.

  6. Alex F says:

Admit it: You just like the short shorts, man.

  7. Scott Gladin says:

And that would be directed to whom?

  8. Amanda C says:

Tim, you must be old. Did they only have black and white film back then? :) The short shorts and the teased bangs in the background tell to which era you belong.

  9. Scott Gladin says:

I just want to see a picture of Tim from back in the day. :)

  10. Tom says:

Alford? As a die-hard Hoosier fan and an Alford officianado, I just don’t see it. Sorry. Great pic, Tim, even for a seasoned pro.

  11. Tom…what exactly is a “hoosier”?

I konw that people that are from (or who follow) Indiana proudly refer to themselves as hoosiers. But I’ve never heard someone define exactly what that is.
