Mickelson takes commanding lead at PGA

August 12th, 2005

Phil Mickelson fired a 5-under-par 65 today and is 8-under par in the PGA Championship. He has a four-stroke lead over Sabbatini, Westwood and Love. See the leaderboard here.

I’d love to see Lefty win his second major.

Go Phil!!!! I hope he doesn’t get paired with Rori Sabbatini. Remember, Rori and his outburst earlier this year when he finished putting and walked ahead to the next tee box while his playing partner was still standing in the fairway waiting to hit his approach shot. Anyway, I digress, I too hope Phil finishes strong and hoists the Wannamaker Trophy high in the air…… On the lighter side, I would also like to see “oh whats his name”….(I’m thinking) - oh yeah, Tiger, pack his bags on Friday evening and watch the remainder of the tournament from a couch….

Oh, that would be so sweet.

  3. Go Phil. I wish Tiger would get close and Phil would beat him, but he can go home now too. :)
