1) Can and will, I think. Fantastic D.
2) See #1
3) A 2 seed.

1) Does the pope wear a funny hat?
2) hopefully, Kansas
3) If not SIU at #4, I’d say Texas A&M (3)
As a Kansan and a former Southern Illinoisan, I’m telling you now SIU has Kansas’ number BIG TIME. I love the Jayhawks, but that defense will make big problems for KU. KU may survive, but it will be a big mess. My bet (so to speak) is on an SIU final four.
Another NCAA question, what does it take to get an intentional foul these days? Am I the only one who thinks Greg Oden’s foul nearing the end of regulation was a bit excessive?
I agree Greg. But you have to admit, Oden is like Andre the Giant in ‘Princess Bride’ swatting at people like flies. I honestly don’t think he could “foul” any lighter.
I think that SIU will beat KU, but I don’t see them getting past UCLA.

I hope CoolHand is right. I would love to our Bruins win it all. But I hate to say this as a UCLA fan: Watch out for USC. They looked very good against Texas yesterday.
Man, I hate the Trojans.
Agreed, I am just not sure he made the play on the ball –
Fouls towards the end of the game have been a pet peeve of mine. I do not see how players can pound each other for 38 minutes and then in the last two slaps, smacks and bumps are all of a suden fouls –
Everyone just keep on snoozing. Pay no attention at all to those Memphis Tigers. They are waaay over rated and have no chance at all. After all,who have they played?
1. Can they, yes. Will they, no.
2. (2) UCLA over (1) Kansas
3. (2) UCLA and (2) Georgetown, along with 1s Florida and Ohio St.
Disclaimer: Every pick I’ve made this year has seemingly been wrong, so in all likelihood, the opposite of how I’ve answered these three questions will actually come to pass.
1. In the words of Jerry Seinfeld: “Anything’s possible!”
2. Florida and Ohio State have both had their “scares,” so … maybe Kansas!
3. Who knows?
1. No
2. Ohio State
3. Texas A&M as a 3 (UNLV also a possibility)
1) they absolutely can but I have no idea if they actually will
2) I’d say Ohio State falling to Tennessee
3) Texas A&M
I’m with Greg - Oden’s foul absolutely should have been called intentional/flagrant. He made no play on the ball - he shoved the guy with two outstretched arms. I don’t care if that had been Jamar Butler shoving him, the guy’s still going down hard.
I’m sick of hearing about how officials want/need to “let the players decide the game.” Why is making a call to decide a game worse than not making a call to decide a game? Should the advantage down the stretch really go to the teams/players that get away with breaking the most rules without getting called?
Tim, Courtney and I went to Columbus and watched SIU win and the Illini lose.We were really looking forward to playing them.I do think we can beat Kansas but it will take a SUPER effort from all.Coach Lowery has them focused and playing great ball.Tatem,Faulker ,Young and Mullins and the bench will have their hands full. What an upset that would be SIU 60 kansas 59.see ya Dan
1. I’m counting on SIU.
2. Hopefully Ohio!
3. Maybe Texas A & M?
Disclaimer: I have no idea what I’m talking about. I filled out 3 different brackets, though.
Don’t overlook #3 Oregon.
1. It depends on the officiating. If the refs “let ‘em play” then SIU has a good chance of winning. If the refs are whistle happy, then SIU had a nice run.
2. Hopefully, Kansas! If not, Ohio State.
3. SIU! SIU! SIU!
