Pujols sets April home run record
April 29th, 2006
Albert Pujols hit his 14th homer of the season Saturday, breaking the Major League record for most homers in April.
It came at a great time — breaking a 1-1 tie in the bottom of eighth — and proved to be the game-winner.
This kid really has the potential to be a star!
Hey, Hey, Hey……it’s Phat Albert!!!!
He’s on pace to hit 80+ HR this season.
I would love for him to break Bonds’ single-season HR record. The sooner we all start to say “Barry who?” the better!
Wow, you really do have the Albert Pujols man-crush.
You know, I hope all you Cardinal fans don’t shoot me for this, but I’m willing to risk it.
I honestly do like Pujols, I think he’s a great player and a future HOF’er. However, it’s just something like this, 14 HRs to start of the season, to make me hope he’s legit. Trust me, that’s the last thing I’d hope for. I hope he is like the classic ballplayer and isn’t one of those idiots who think they can cheat the system.
But, in the meantime, congrats to Albert, and to you Cardinal fans.
(And of course I hope he - or someone like Andruw - breaks the record).
Steve — You’re just jealous.
My man, Albert!!!!
If Albert was a moral topic, even Don couldn’t plagiarize him- he is that good!
As one who is almost finished with my Ph.D. in Albert Pujols Studies, I am well qualified to state my opinion that he is the man who will take us to World Series glory land this year (behind our great starting pitching of course)
Wow, he’s so good, I wonder who has him in Tim’s league? Oh, wait, me! Sweet.
You guys are vicious!
Major fantasy points! It is a good thing I didn’t listen to the guy from ESPN when he said if you have the first pick in the draft take A-Rod over AL.
