Reardon: The drugs made me do it
December 27th, 2005Former relief pitcher Jeff Reardon says medication he was taking made him rob a jewelry store.
I think it’s time for the FDA to look into that drug, huh?
Give me a break.
Thanks to Jeremy for the link.
Now you know nothing is anyone’s fault these days. It can’t just be the sin of greed or pride, its got to be some “addiction” or a bad childhood at the very least!
no grace for the guy? Are you still harboring bitterness because the guy shut down the cards in game 7 of the 1987 world series.
i like what the guy in the boston globe said.
“No need looking for explanations. It will never make any sense. Jeff Reardon’s world stopped making sense in February of 2004. That doesn’t make him innocent, only human, a member of small and sad society of parents condemned to live with pain, with no hope to ever patch the holes in their hearts.”
John Mark,
I feel terrible for the man for the loss of his son. But I have a hard time believing that medication made him rob a store.
NO judging, remember!
Yeah Tim. Do you or do you not agree with the purpose of this web site!

Reardon was apparently in a mental hospital 3 weeks ago. somethings not right with the guy.
Lemme get back to you on that, Joel. I may have to de-register myself from posting here.
I’ve been places and seen things and know drugs can make people do crazy things. Jump our of windows to thie deaths because they are superman, smoke cigaretts that aren’t there, wrestle a garden hose because they think its something its not, chase little green men around a parkinglot and many many more things. I’ve seen people drink wiskey and steal 20 dollars from their own wallets to buy more wiskey. Drugs are crazy things. I took to many cold and sinus pills once and drove around going 15 but swore I was going 30. Give the guy a break he’s made everyting right and asked for forgiveness.
No judging, T-bone. We don’t really know if he has axed for forgiveness.
