Tiger Woods came out firing at the British Open today, shooting a 6-under-par 66 to grab a two-shot lead over Luke Donald, Peter Lonard, Jose Maria Olazabal and Retief Goosen in the early going.

  1. Looks like Steve may be right after all. We’ll see.

  2. Tim, if Els shoots like 15 under tomorrow, he could get into a playoff. Might be a bit of a long shot. :)

  3. Tim says:

Yeah, yeah, yeah. Rub it in.

How many games are the Cubs behind the Cardinals? 5? 6?

    No, wait. It’s 13. Almost forgot. :)

  4. Tim says:

Props to Steve for correctly picking Tiger Woods as the British Open champ. Nice job, Steve.

  5. Tim if you need any sports advice, I’m here for you brother. ;) I didn’t get to watch it of course, but it must have gotten pretty boring with the blow out. He’s looking like he might start dominating again. We’ll see.

And about Cubs/Cardinals, I thought this was about golf. You are more confused on your sports than I thought. :)

  6. Tim says:

Says the man who roots for a team that hasn’t won a World Series in almost 100 years. Who’s confused? :)

  7. If sport was only about winning, I’ll be happy to root for the Cardinals for a year or two when they get hot. But since sport is about so much more than that, I’ll stick with the team that has my heart no matter where I live. :)

Hey, did you hear Tiger won?

  8. Tim says:

Hey, at least you’re faithful and not a bandwagon fan. I’ll give you that.

Ask Chris Turner about his experience with the Cubs sometime. He used to be a diehard fan, but finally abandoned them and now roots for the Yankees.

  9. Yeah, heard enough from CT to know he is a sellout. :)
