We’ll see.
I remember the end of the ‘98 Rose Bowl and how instead of focusing on Michigan and their victory/national title, all the focus was on Keith’s last game.
He was a great one and I enjoyed listening to him, although his age was really showing in this year’s title game. Fouts kept covering for his mistakes. It was kind of sad.
He says this is the real deal. But I still don’t think we’ll get anyone better, mistakes aside. I’ve always loved Brent Musberger though so I hope it’s him.
Musberger? Ugh. He’s so overly-dramatic.
I’m still mad over CBS dumping Brent for the blandness of Jim Nance.
Mr. Jackson can now go fishing with Dan Rather and have a homespun contest. Who do you think wins?
Keith Jackson wins. Nance is solid but I like him more on golf than College BBall.
I grew up with Musberger on CBS.
“You are looking live at Soldier Field in Chicago….”
I loved the NFL Today and I think Brent calls a great game. I don’t find him to be too dramatic.
I think Musburger exhuberance is great - even if sometimes a trifle over the top. Plus, he doesn’t dog my Sooners when he covers them - like certain legendary commentators who are now retiring.
