January 12th, 2006My column this week is about snowboarder Luke Wynen, who’s hoping to qualify for the Winter Olympics. A knee injury has made him a long shot, but he’s not ruling it out.

Seriously, Tavarez is a decent pitcher — but I’m not sure how well he’ll be able to handle the increased scrutiny he’ll find in Boston. He’s a bit of a head case.
Great. That’s all we need. Like a Spanish Byung Hung Kim, it sounds like. Maybe he won’t be able to flip us off with the broken hand.
