Please keep praying
February 10th, 2008Friends,
Thanks so much for your prayers, encouragement and support in recent days. I ask you to continue praying for me and my colleagues in the days ahead. We are tired. We are overwhelmed with the work before us. We need your prayers.
Many people have written to ask what they can do. While some have the means to come and volunteer, and others have the means to provide financial assistance to the university and our students, everyone can pray. Don’t think that by praying you are contributing less than others, because the Bible says that the prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working.
I continue to be amazed at the outpouring of love for Union University. We are so grateful for your kindness to us.
I don’t pray Tim, but if I hope for and wish you the best in your efforts, would you count that as contributing just as much as someone who sends you a prayer? I think what you are doing is absolutely wonderful. Please keep it up!
Tim,
Please keep the updates coming. If you need anything, don’t hesitate to call. Union is a special place. Jackson would not be the same without it. I know that God will continue to use you in the months and years to come.
You got it, bro.
Tim,
We prayed for ya’ll at church yesterday. A woman from our church was actually down there (Jackson) and watched to tornado from her hotel room window.
Tim,
We have been and will continue to pray for you and Union. It was almost surreal to watch the national news show so much coverage of the destruction at my alma mater. I really believe that although the short term is going to be tough, this will result in a greater future for Union and more glory to our God.
