I’m just a guy who’s probably better at writing than I am at most other things, so I figure I’ll run with that.

The most important thing about me is that I’m a sinner saved by grace. The Lord in his mercy rescued me from my sin, set my feet on the rock and made my steps secure. I’m the director of news and media relations at Union University, the husband of a wife who is better than I deserve, the father of three young kids, master of two dogs (though they would dispute that) and deacon at Cornerstone Community Church.

As for my writing, I’ve been blessed to do some pretty cool things. I’ve written extensively for Baptist Press and Baptist Press Sports, mostly about Christian athletes. I covered the 2008 Olympics in Beijing and the 2010 Olympics in Vancouver. I’ve also written two books.

I’m a die-hard St. Louis Cardinals fan, and I’d sooner cheer for al-Qaida than for the Chicago Cubs.
